About the Counter Fraud Practitioner Training Program

The Commonwealth Fraud Prevention Centre has developed a Counter Fraud Practitioner Training Program for Australian Government officials looking to enhance and apply their knowledge of core counter-fraud disciplines.

The award-winning program includes 5 compulsory full-day interactive modules:

  1. Understanding and communicating the fraud problem
  2. Fraud risk assessment
  3. Fraud controls
  4. Data in fraud control and fraud control assurance
  5. Fraud control investment.

Through the program, participants will be able to:

  • understand and apply Centre tools and leading practice frameworks
  • participate in activities that deepen existing counter-fraud knowledge
  • have access to individual and ongoing networks to find solutions for counter-fraud challenges.

Who should complete it

The training program is designed for Australian Government officials working in fraud and corruption control, risk management and policy areas. The program will help entities meet the obligations of the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Control Framework, and is considered relevant education in fraud and corruption control for the purposes of Element 4.4 of the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Policy.
